I have been agonizing for awhile over the name I chose for my studio. I’m deeply attached to it but it wreaks havoc on new customers and visitors. Finding me and my art on the web has become too complicated. I messed around with a bunch of new names, none of which really seemed to work and my focus group was very divided on a new choice.
Enter the concept of a second domain name! One that will feed into my existing website and blog! I got very excited and I really love the new one. I had never seen .art as an extension before.

Isn’t that just the coolest??? Especially since googling my name comes up with more hits and pr notices than my business name does.
I also have to applaud the chat gurus at both Shopify and WordPress. Without them I certainly would have given up. http://Shopify.com and http://wordpress.com
